Description:
This is a souvenir pin created by the Whitehead and Hoag Company. On the obverse side of the pin is a leaf with a viking ship and the letters NPA. NPA stands for the Norwegian People's Aid which was founded in 1939 to allieviate suffering in the Spanish Civil War and Winter War in Finland. The NPA continues to provide post-conflict reconstruction assistance and humanitarian relief during conflicts. On the reverse side of the pin are the words the Whitehead and Hoag Co. Newark, NJ. patented July 12, 1894, April 1896, and July 21, 1896. The signature on the bottom of the paper belongs to Reverend Bredasan, who donated the pin.
