Description:
Pillow carved from a single piece of wood. Fathers of the bride would have a headrest carved and the bride would bring it to her husband’s house. There was common styles, designs, and patterns of neck pillows, but not every headrest looked alike. A man could have several wives, so there would have been several different headrest in one household.
