On the front and back of the base is 15 written in pencil. On the bottom of the base is AW 457.S15 in black ink, with a red diagonal line through it. Also on the bottom of the base is Ind 457. with the rest of it being too faint to make out.

Provenance of Object:
Miss Madeline Harding donated the object to the Boston Children's Museum in 1947. The Boston Children's Museum gifted the object to the Luther College Ethnographic Collection in 2016. Part of a collection of 20 figurines from Calcutta, India that were sent to the donor's father, who was in the Jute business.
