Provenance of Object:
The apron was made in Decorah, Iowa by a Hmong family. Esther Miller either received the apron as a gift or bought it from the Hmong family. She lived in Decorah, Iowa so the apron stayed in the area. The apron was later acquired by Marilyn Anderson, who also lives in Decorah, Iowa meaning the apron has stayed in Decorah, Iowa.

Description:
This is a full-length apron made with black, red, light blue, tan, white, and green cloth and orange, green, and blue embroidery thread. The apron includes a reverse applique design of snail motifs on the skirt of the apron and an an elephant's foot motif on the upper portion of the apron.
