Description:
This pan dau was handmade in the Decorah area in 1982, it contains 4 notable motifs that are all throughout the Hmong Collection. In the center there is the elephant's foot motif that represents prosperity and has four snail motifs on the inner ring which represent family. In the four corners are also the white step motif and three seed motifs (which are also throughout the middle of the elephants foot motif.
