There is text that reads "MARTINDALE BIRMINGHAM MADE IN ENGLAND" which has the trademarked logo of a crocodile with "No. 1623" besides that.

Description:
A double-edged machete it was given to Mark Heffron in Botswana in 1967 by two Maasai hitchhikers. Where it originated from and when it was produced is still unknown but it was created by the English company Ralph Martindale & Co. Even though it was produced by Ralph Martindale, members of the Maasai were using it extensively for various uses.
