Provenance of Object:
This item was gifted to the Luther College Museum by a Dr. J. Hoff. This item was then transferred to the Vesterheim Museum. The item was returned to Luther College on 11/7/18.
Production Date:
The Vesterheim says that this cane may have come from 1870-1900. However, this is more than likely just a guess.
Use/Function:
This is a walking stick that was possibly used by a shorter person. The thicker end appears to be the top of the cane.

This is a wooden cane that is probably from the 1880's to the 1900's. There are burn marks and twig stubs on the cane that function as decoration.
