Marks/Labels:
The frame has many marks and labels. The back of the frame has a sticker saying, "Twin City picture framing Co. Edina 6815 York Ave. So. 929-1649. St. Paul 9th & Jackson 222-4431. Minneapolis LaSelle COurt 333-4431. Edina 5019 France Ave. So. 927-6041". The frame has had labels machine etched in. The part for hanging says, "Neleen Pat Pending". The corner joint says "AMS". Also present is "Designer Moulding". Written on the back in black pen is "103298".

Provenance of Object:
The object is Hmong in origin and was sold in Rochester Minnesota to Joan (Gulsvig) Whiting, the donor's sister. Joan then gave the object to Karen (Gulsvig) Johnson, the donor.

Description:
A square piece of Hmong reverse applique with embroidered designs. The piece is made of light and dark blue fabric with pink and green embroidery. The piece is done with "snail" and geometric designs. The fabric has been framed in a square metal frame with a glass covering.
